Welcome to OpenConverter! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OpenConverter website and services (the "Service") provided by us.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
2. Use of the Service
OpenConverter provides browser-based file conversion tools. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- You are responsible for the files you choose to convert.
- You agree not to use the Service to convert files that infringe on any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any party.
- You agree not to use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.
- Due to the browser-based nature of the conversions, processing speed and success may depend on your device's capabilities and browser performance.
3. No Server-Side Processing or Storage
As stated in our Privacy Policy, file conversions are performed entirely within your browser. We do not upload, store, or access the content of your files on our servers.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the Service or the results of any conversion. We disclaim all warranties, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall OpenConverter, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms—and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service—are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard‑of‑law principles. You agree that the Istanbul (Kartal) Courts and Enforcement Offices shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute.
Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any mandatory consumer‑protection rights you may enjoy under the laws of your country of residence. If you are an EU resident, you may also seek resolution via the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform ( https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr ); OpenConverter's participation in ODR proceedings is voluntary and at its discretion.
